Both the Lees teams are solid sides and we expected to struggle against them this season. And so it proved as, although the games were competitive, we didn’t win a contest in either match. We were 3 players down against Lees 1 and 2 down against Lees 2, so many thanks to Mike, Martyn, Steve, Neil and Ollie from the 3rd Team for filling in; in fact Ollie and Steve were both narrowly beaten 2-3 in their respective matches.
So there we are – season over. The report reads; won 3, lost 11. However I think we have done enough to keep ourselves in the 2nd Division for next year and this after losing Dan Murrell and Dave Knight to the 1st team and Jack Murphy and Chris Shaw to Uni from our line-up last year.
