Message from Cambridgeshire Squash:
We are kicking off our new junior initiative which is takes the form of an informal chance for our less experienced junior players (those not playing England Squash tournaments) to have an opportunity to dip their toes into competition locally. Somewhat similar to a team match but much less formal, the first event will feature juniors from Hunts County, Peterborough, and Swavesey, and be hosted at Swavesey on the 12th December.
Peterborough will host the next fixture on the 23rd January and we are hoping that going forward, other clubs will get involved, both hosting the events, and bringing their juniors along.
Please, if you have a junior section (or even just a couple of kids playing their parents!) can you send over relevant contact details. At the moment we have very few contact details for junior organisers. This could simply be the parent of a keen junior player at your club. Going forward, we want to create a network for these kids to get involved in fun local competitions, or even go on to more structured training and competition. Please forward to keen parents so they can hear about what’s happening!!
