Rules of Squash
Squash is played by two players on an enclosed court. Players take turns hitting the ball against the front wall, and the ball must hit the front wall above the tin and below the out line. The ball may also hit the side or back walls, but it must reach the front wall before bouncing twice.
After each shot, the ball is allowed to bounce once on the floor before the next player returns it. A rally continues until one player cannot return the ball correctly, hits the ball out, hits the tin, or allows the ball to bounce twice. Points are usually scored using point-a-rally scoring, meaning a point is won on every rally.
Players must also give each other safe access to the ball. If a player is blocked from reaching or striking the ball safely, they can ask for a let or stroke. Squash is competitive, but safety, fair play and respect for your opponent are an important part of the game.
