A massive thank you to our generous members. Together you have pledged enough funds to complete the transformation of the club. Our target was £40,000 to provide enough to open up the area behind court 1, and install a glass back court, kitchenette and social area. In the end we had pledges of £44,000 including Gift Aid which gives the club a small contingency in case of unforeseen costs.

As a result of this fantastic commitment by members, we have already placed a deposit to secure an installation date for the glass back in August and received a commitment from the building contractor to have the structural works sequenced beforehand. We give members more details of how the building works will affect the use of the club, but we won’t be starting in earnest before the school breaks for the summer, and hope to have court 1 back in use in time for the new season.
The Treasurer will be writing out to the individuals who pledged asking you to transfer the funds to the club. Applying for Gift Aid takes some time so in order to have all the funds in place for the start of the project we need to collect the money in before 16th June please.
