The approach to promotion and demotion have been adjusted to better suit the smaller number of people playing and the resulting ‘steeper’ gradient of the leagues. Instead of a two-league promotion or demotion, for position 1 and 5 respectively, positions 1 and 2 are both promoted by one league and positions 4 and 5 are both demoted by one.
