Ever wondered how Comberton Squash Club operates? How the building is maintained? How the tournaments are run? How the booking system is managed? And a myriad of other things that allow all the members to just stroll on court and enjoy their squash. The answer is volunteer-power.
Four members of our 11-strong committee are stepping down at the AGM this year. These include the Chair of the committee and the membership secretary. These specific roles need to be filled. The committee has also identified that the club would benefit from having a marketing officer.
If you have a burning desire to change something at the club or to improve something then join up! If you like things the way they are and want to see the club continue then join up! So if you have been enjoying squash at Comberton for a number of years and you enjoy the low membership fees (the lowest in the county and kept that way due to time put in by committee members), now is your chance to give something back to the club.
